Mō tō mātou Rōpū - About the team
The Investigation Team investigates the more complex and serious accidents, incidents and mishaps. They operate under both the maritime Transport Act (MTA) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA). In addition to identifying key safety issues, the team also ensures people who do not comply with Maritime rules and regulations, as well as obligations under HSWA are held to account. By holding people to account for non-compliance, the Team also promotes future compliance and contributes to improving safety culture more broadly.
