The TEC Content team is part of the newly formed Products and Channels Group. We achieve TEC's priorities through meaningful and effective engagement with target audiences including tertiary education organisations, learners, and job seekers.

We're seeking an experienced Web Adviser to join our collaborative and supportive team. You'll love web content in all its forms, know how to get the best web solution for the user, and be a pro at working with others to solve content-related issues.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

Join our TEC Content team as part of our Products & Channels Group a Web Advisor; you will work alongside writers/editors and Content Developers to develop, publish and manage online content. You will be responsible for:

  • Advising on the best digital solution on getting information to users
  • Ensuring government web standards and plain language requirements are met
  • Using your record-keeping skills to maintain publishing records
  • Resolving user and stakeholder queries
  • Monitoring web performance using analytics tools and presenting insights to stakeholders to assist in decision-making
  • Liaising with web developers to resolve technical issues
  • Building strong connections across the organisation, and maximising opportunities for collaborating and knowledge-sharing.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

You will be ensuring content is developed in accordance with best content design principles, government web standards, Search Engine Optimisation best practice, and in-house style guides. You will bring the following experience:

  • Relevant experience in working in online content development and publishing
  • Experience with Online Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Silverstripe
  • Good written communication skills to ensure content is in plain language and help craft clear, concise content for our audiences as needed
  • The ability to work on projects in an Agile environment as needed
  • Highly developed relationship management skills that enable you to work effectively with a wide range of people, internally and externally
  • The ability to support and encourage team members to achieve collective goals.

The salary range for this position starts from $68,707 up to $80,832 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
